This listing is for a Carcharodontosaurus dinosaur tooth from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco. Carcharodontosaurus means "Shark Tooth Lizard" due to the blade-like shape of the teeth.

It was as large or larger than T Rex which is why it is sometimes called the "African T Rex" even though they are separated by about 30 million years. The tooth is in excellent condition and has almost no restoration. The only repair I can see is minor crack filling, but no fake parts of the tooth, just a small crack here or there filled with glue to stabilize it.

The tooth has incredible enamel, color and sharp serrations along with a sharp tip with a small wear groove from feeding during life and even some of the lightly colored tooth root! The tooth measures 3.09 in length on a straight line measured with accurate digital calipers. The tooth was found outside the city of Taouz Morocco along a cliff facing which separates Morocco from Algeria.

This area is known as the Kem Kem Beds and dates back to the Cretaceous Period about 95 million years in age. The amazing thing is that this area used to be a lush tropical environment full of life.

All of the waterways and river systems created a perfect environment for teeth, claws and bones to become fossilized. The fossil comes with a COA upon request.
