Excellent Juvenile Tyrannosaurus Rex Tooth Hell Creek T Rex Dinosaur Fossil
This listing is for an excellent juvenile Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth from the Hell Creek Formation of Carter County, MT! It measures 1.19 in length measured with accurate digital calipers and comes with its own gem display case. The tooth has beautiful dark enamel with great serrations, just look at the pics! The serrations have a twist to them along the edges of the tooth which suggests this is likely from near the front of the jaw.

I have seen these teeth called anterior maxillary teeth meaning they are from the upper jaw (maxilla) and towards the front of the jaw (anterior). Absolutely no repair or restoration! Robust tooth that is round in cross section! Looks just like a larger adult Rex tooth, just scaled down!

The fossil comes with a COA upon request. The Hell Creek Formation dates back to the Late Cretaceous approximately 66-68 million years in age. It represent the coastline of an ancient sea that spanned across the middle of North American during much of the Mesozoic Era. That is why dinosaur remains are so common in the American West, those areas were the ancient floodplains of a seaway that no longer exists. Dinosaur like the famous Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops and Pachycephalosaurus were part of this amazing ecosystem.

Other dinosaur such as Edmontosaurus, Thescelosaurus, Struthiomimus and Oviraptorids existed here as well. And of course there were the Dromaeosaurs Raptors that inhabited this area and preyed upon these species such as Acheropraptor and Dakotaraptor.
