Carcharodontosaurus saharicus Dinosaur Tooth African T-Rex

South of Toauz, KSar es Souk Prov. Here is a nice tooth from Carcharodontosaurus saharicus a dinosaur that once lived in North Africa. Carcharodontosaurus was a large carnivorous dinousaur, sometimes referred to as the African T-Rex.

This tooth measures roughly 55 mm high. The tip is worn as can be seen in the photos, and there is occlusal wear on the posterior edge, where it impacted a tooth in the opposing jaw. The anterior edge has nice serrations. This is a nice tooth for your collection. Specimen # 04.16.18-2.
